Fees

$55 per single line at a test center; combinations are priced for online testing.

The handbook's fee table lists $55 for each single-line exam at a test center (Life, Accident & Health, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines and Title; $50 for Public Adjuster). For OnVUE online testing it lists Life and Accident & Health together at $80 and Property and Casualty together at $80, with Title bundles at $125, and each line is limited to one OnVUE attempt, so retakes must be in a test center. Fees are paid by card or voucher when you reserve, are not accepted at the test center, and are nonrefundable except under the 48-hour change rule.

Passing score

A scaled score of 70, not 70% correct.

The department selected 70 as the passing score for reporting. The handbook says the scaled score is neither the number nor the percentage of questions answered correctly. Candidates who pass see a score report that reads pass with no number; candidates who fail receive a numeric score and diagnostic information by area.
