A Pennsylvania-specific summary for the Life, Accident and Health, and combination exams, using only the Pennsylvania Insurance Department pages and the PSI candidate booklet linked below. Pennsylvania did not publish pass rates that we could find, so this page has none.

Booking and exam day
Schedule with PSI at a test center or remotely.
- Exam fees are not refundable or transferable.
- Cancel at least 2 days before the exam to avoid forfeiting the fee; voicemail and email do not count.
- At a test center, arrive 30 minutes early with one valid, non-expired photo and signature ID matching your PSI account name.
- The PSI registration steps include a choice of test center or remote proctored exam.
After you pass
Apply right away, then get fingerprinted.
The department says to submit your license application through Sircon or NIPR immediately after passing, and the PSI booklet says to apply within one year of passing. New resident producers are fingerprinted at an IdentoGO center after applying, and fingerprints submitted before applying are not accepted. The department lists a $55 fee for a Pennsylvania-resident individual producer license.
Renewal
24 continuing education hours per two-year cycle.
The booklet and the department both state a 24-hour minimum during the two-year licensing cycle. The booklet adds that CE courses taken before your license is issued do not receive credit.
